This compulsory hearing for all amateur and professional clubs has a double challenge: to validate the fact that the financial trajectory announced this summer is respected, and to avoid sporting or administrative sanctions in the event of deviation.
Bordeaux already under supervision of its payroll
The federal DNCG should not be surprised during this interview as it has been regulating the club's payroll since this summer. In addition, the Bordeaux commercial court administers the management of the club in conjunction with the latter, which can limit management differences.
It will be Thomas Jacquemier, departing general director of the Girondins de Bordeaux, and his successor Arnaud Saint-André who will present the Bordeaux file to the federal DNCG.
€1.6M still awaiting payment?
Unless there is a big deviation in trajectory, it is difficult to see the DNCG sanctioning the Girondins. However, Bordeaux must prove that it is able to finance its end of season and meet the additional costs caused by the PES.
On this subject, the Bordeaux commercial court validated its financing on October 30. Thus, the Girondins should rely on this decision before the federal DNCG.
Please note, at the end of October, a payment of €1.6M was expected to complete financing the surplus of the social plan. Gérard Lopez's lawyer, Laurent Cotret, told Sud-Ouest on October 29 after the hearing before the commercial court: “The payment of the first part has been made. That of the second is to come in the next few weeks. History has shown that, contrary to what we have heard everywhere, Gérard Lopez respected his commitments.“
We will perhaps know this Tuesday if the president-owner of the FCGB has kept this commitment.
In addition, according to Footamateur, we learn that Bordeaux has a payroll for the athlete estimated at €800,000 gross without bonuses. With bonuses, it would be 900,000 gross, or €1.2M with charges, indicates the media. As a result, the FCGB is the biggest budget in National 2.
Finally, in the event of a sanction, the federal DNCG can maintain payroll control, withdraw points from the ranking, or administratively demote the club as a precautionary measure. On the contrary, the DNCG can also accept the budget as it stands and make no observations.
