Transfer window: Asked about his future at PSG, Skriniar gets annoyed

In the wake of Slovakia’s cruel elimination against England in the round of 16 of Euro 2024, Milan Skriniar was asked about his future by an Italian journalist, whom he sent packing before assuring that he intended to stay at PSG.

Milan Skriniar is on vacation and may have regrets. On Sunday, Slovakia long believed it had validated its ticket for the quarter-finals of Euro 2024. But in the 90th + 5, Jude Bellingham appeared out of nowhere to send England into extra time with a splendid and already acrobatic return iconic. Harry Kane then doubled the lead for the Three Lions at the very start of the first period of extra time and Slovakia ultimately lost 2-1.

Euro 2024 therefore ends there for Slovakia and its captain, who then presented himself at a press conference after the cruel elimination of his country. And before leaving the press conference, Skriniar was asked by an Italian journalist about his future at the club. The journalist asked him if he was going to stay at PSG, which annoyed Skriniar quite a bit, which we can understand given the context.

“And you, do you want me to stay or not?”

“And you, do you want me to stay or not? », said the central defender of PSG to the journalist, quite sheepish. And when the CalcioMercato.it journalist timidly replied to Skriniar that he just wanted to know whether or not he was going to stay at PSG, Skriniar finally agreed to answer him, very dryly: “Yes, I’m staying.”

If Skriniar intends to stay at PSG, as he had already declared a few days ago, the club’s position is not the same and it has already been widely leaked that Luis Enrique no longer counts on him and that Luis Campos is open to a departure of the former Inter Milan captain, who still has four years of contract at PSG.

Skriniar has been vaguely mentioned at Napoli, where he could reunite with his former coach Antonio Conte, as well as at Juventus, but there is nothing concrete at the moment. According to CalcioMercato.it, which is not a reference in Italy, several Turkish clubs, including Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe, would also be interested.
