Moroccan coach Lamia Boumehdi led TP Mazembe to their first coronation in the CAF Women’s Champions League against AS FAR (1-0), Saturday at the El Abdi stadium in El Jadida.
The coach of AS FAR, Mohamed Amine Alioua, predicted it well: “This final will be different from our meeting in the group stage” which ended in a victory for the capital team 3-1 .

AS FAR coach, Mohamed Amine Alioua, affirmed that his team gave its all against a tactically and physically strong TP Mazembe, during the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League, played on Saturday at the stadium El Abdi in El Jadida.
During the post-match press conference that the Military lost (0-1) against the Congolese, Amine Alioua stressed that his players were “lost” during the first 10 minutes of the match, while assuming “responsibility of defeat.
In this sense, he wanted to congratulate TP Mazembe and its coach, the Moroccan Lamia Boumehdi, for this historic coronation, ensuring that AS FAR will continue to move forward to shine in the next events.
For her part, Lamia Boumehdi said she was happy and honored to win this title in her native country. She noted that her team was afraid of repeating the scenario of the first match against AS FAR, in the group stage, lost (1-3), adding that her players showed good mental abilities by remaining calm during the moments reviews of the finale.
