Football: Ancelotti puts an end to rumors about Mbappé’s mental health

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé continues to attract attention, both for his performances and for questions about his physical and mental state.

After an international break spent away from the field, training in private, rumors emerged regarding his mental health. During a press conference this Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, firmly brushed aside these speculations, defending his player in the face of criticism.

“I don’t think that’s the case. I see him calm and happy to be here. I don’t think he suffers from this and if he does he doesn’t show it. It’s too ugly to speculate on that,” Ancelotti said in response to a question about Mbappé’s possible mental fragility.

The following day, the French international silenced doubts on the pitch, scoring a goal in the Merengue’s 3-0 victory over Leganés, ending a run of four games without scoring. This performance allows Real Madrid to reposition itself in second place in the standings, four lengths behind Barça, with a match in hand.

Ancelotti hopes that Mbappé will maintain this momentum during the expected clash against Liverpool this Wednesday in the Champions League.
