It’s in a few hours that all the rumors we’ve been hearing for weeks will come true or not.

We are monitoring numerous files, including that of Steven Stamkos. The Devils and Golden Knights really seem like real possibilities right now for the Canadian forward.

What are the other rumors at the moment?

Sean Monahan linked to Blue Jackets

The former Canadiens forward could be a player in demand. We will see if he will have too big salary demands which will scare the teams (because of his injury history) since in his case, that is his red flag.

But according to Elliotte Friedman, we should not be surprised to see the former Flames and CH player stay in Winnipeg or sign… in Columbus.

I wonder if it’s his choice or if other teams are afraid of his demands, for example. After all, it’s not the sexiest destination in the NHL right now. But maybe Johnny Gaudreau will convince him?

Note that Friedman also thinks that the Kings and Sens could sign Joel Edmundson.

Jonathan Marchessault au New Jersey?

The New Jersey Devils are looking to get their hands on a big name up front. Steven Stamkos is a name I said at the outset, but he’s not the only possibility.

But now the name of Quebecer Jonathan Marchessault is circulating a lot in New Jersey.

Dan Powers, from the Empty Netters podcast, even thinks that it’s not badly done and that this is where the Quebecer, who has been in Vegas since the beginning of the franchise, will continue his career.

The CH should therefore not sign it.

Jaccob Slavin and his contract

Everyone knows the Hurricanes love the defenseman and a contract extension is likely. He’s theoretically eligible for free agency in a year, but he’s lined up to stay.

A press conference is planned for today.

A contract in the waters of six million dollars per year over eight years is to be expected in his case, which really demonstrates how much the Hurricanes have respect for the defenseman.

Note that in the coming days, the Lightning should do the same with Victor Hedman. Four years, maybe?

A lot of

– A new assistant for Patrick Roy.

– The Hawks in action.

– Oliver Ekman-Larsson in Toronto?

– Contract in Laval.

– Interesting.
