Ferrari took the lead in the 24 Hours of Spa after three hours of racing, with the 296 GT3 n°51 – AF Corse-Francorchamps Motors of Alessandro Pier Guidi following another neutralization shortly after 7 p.m. Full Course Yellow then safety car, after the No. 38 Audi R8 LMS GT3 – Haas RT went off the track at Les Combes.

The Italian team took the lead in the first hour after the #48 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO – Mercedes-AMG Team Mann Filter punctured and has not left the front since.

The wave-by procedure was carried out for the first time before the race was restarted. Alessio Rovera led the standings ahead of Fabian Schiller (Mercedes #2 – Mercedes-AMG Team Getspeed), Jim Pla (Audi R8 LMS GT3 #25 – Saintéloc Racing), leader in the Gold Cup, Mattia Drudi (Aston Martin Vantage GT3 #7 – Comtoyou Racing) and Ross Gunn (Aston Martin #34 – Walkenhorst Motorsport) for the top five.

Garage 59 and the #188 McLaren 720S GT3 EVO of Miguel Ramos lead the Bronze Cup, with Daan Arrow and the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes leading the Silver Cup. Leader for a time before its puncture, the No. 48 Mercedes – Mercedes-AMG Team Mann Filter of Maro Engel is 36th. Note also the concerns regarding refueling for the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 n°163 – GRT, which started from pole position.

The race was then neutralized after several incidents on the track, including the Porsche 911 GT3 R n°92 – SSR Herberth going off the track, and a collective collision involving the Audi n°26 – Saintéloc Racing and the Mercedes n°16 – Uno Racing with Landgraf, until then leader in Pro-Am. It is now the McLaren n°100 – Team RJN which has taken the lead in the class. The Lamborghini n°63 – Iron Lynx also lost its front bonnet during this sequence.

Note that a few drops of rain arrived on the Spa circuit.
