In a context where Paul Pogbafree from any contract since his departure from the Juventusis looking for a new challenge to relaunch his career, Adrien Rabiot has just sent a strong invitation to his former teammate in the French team. While rumors suggested a possible interest fromMarseille Olympic for the French midfielder, Rabiot clearly encouraged Pogba to “come to Marseille” during a recent press conference.
A call motivated by the ambition of the Marseille project
Adrien Rabiot, who joined OM this summer, seems convinced by the sports project of the Marseille club. He thus extolled the merits of the coachdescribed as “super coach”and its desire to play with the best players. For Rabiot, the arrival of a talented player like Pogba could only be beneficial for the Marseille team. He insisted on the physical abilities and the high level what his former teammate from the Blues can still achieve, provided that he finds “his head”.
An invitation joining other influential voices
Rabiot's foot appeal to Pogba is not an isolated case. Before him, other personalities close to the French midfielder had already advised him to join OM. This is particularly the case of Patrice Evra et Fair Ramiwho had both encouraged “the Pickaxe” to sign in Marseille. Rami had even gone so far as to promise to go to the Phocaean city to get autograph jerseys by his friend in the event of a transfer.
A strategic choice for Pogba?
While Paul Pogba clearly displayed its ambition to find the French team with a view to the next international events, a visit to OM could prove wise. Evolving in a competitive championship like Ligue 1, the 2018 world champion would have the opportunity to relaunch at the highest level while remaining in the spotlight of national selectors. The supposed interest of Marseille could thus represent an attractive option for Pogba in his quest for a new sporting challenge.
