Italian authorities have confiscated property worth around one million euros belonging to a Moroccan national based in the Busto Arsizio region. The seizure, executed on November 7 by Varese State Police, followed orders from the Milan Court targeting proceeds from drug trafficking operations.

According to newspaper La Provincia Di Varese, the investigation revealed that the ring leader used family members to register properties and luxury goods while simultaneously receiving state benefits. The seized assets included a 500 square meter villa and a high-end BMW vehicle.

Financial investigations uncovered a complex pattern involving wives, children-in-law, sisters and in-laws who appeared as formal owners of real estate, vehicles and insurance policies despite having no income. The family members received INPS benefits, including citizenship allowance and other support, while leading a luxurious lifestyle.

During the operation, authorities discovered two undocumented Moroccan nationals residing in one of the confiscated properties. Both individuals were immediately expelled by the Varese prefecture. The chef’s sister, suspected of providing accommodation to unauthorized residents, is currently under investigation.
