It’s a massacre for the Red Devils before the last two Nations League matches. But an announced absentee finally appeared.
Before the selection, we already knew that many players would not be available: Kevin De Bruyne, Julien Duranville, Thomas Meunier, Jérémy Doku and Youri Tielemans, in particular. And this weekend, it was a massacre. Charles De Ketelaere, Joaquin Seys, Malick Fofana and even, it was believed, Roméo Lavia were injured.
Lavia came off around the hour mark during the London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal. A change that we thought was tactical but the Belgian then rushed to treatment, looking visibly concerned and holding his thigh.

But while we feared the worst, no package was confirmed… and Roméo Lavia even appeared this Monday in Tubize, seemingly nothing, to join the Red Devils group. Whatever he felt the day before, it would at least be too unserious for him not to bother making the trip.
Of course, nothing indicates that after consultation with the Devils’ medical staff, Roméo Lavia will not be sent back to London to work calmly and stay in shape for the end of the year. We know that no risks should be taken with the Blues midfielder.
A relapse would be all the more a blow as in recent weeks, Roméo Lavia had once again become a crucial pawn of Chelsea, with a series of tenures and very high-level performances. We expected to see him starting in the selection as well…
