One of the two most anticipated matches of the season is fast approaching. This Sunday, the two best enemies in the French championship meet again almost three years after having faced each other for the last time. ASSE travels to this Sunday evening. The French Federation communicated this Monday the arbitration appointments for the 12th day of the 2024/2025 Ligue 1 season. To officiate during the meeting between ASSE (16th) and (18th), the federation has appointed Florent Batta, a 44-year-old referee who has already refereed the Greens this season. Last season, he finished in 19th and penultimate place in the first division referee rankings.

The 44-year-old referee is a familiar face in Ligue 1. He is currently refereeing his 7th season in the elite of French football. This is the second time this 24/25 season that Florent Batta will meet ASSE, after received Geoffroy-Guichard on August 24 (0-2 defeat).
