If it depended on Dimitri de Condé, Genk would experience a quiet winter transfer window. But as we know, anything can happen in football.
In recent years, the Limburg club has seen some of its best players leave in the middle of the season. Genk is also afraid that this will happen again in January with players like Zakaria El Ouadhi and Tolu Arokodare.
Patrick Hrosovsky and Mujaid Sadick could also leave in the near future. In fact, they are coming to the end of their contract and will therefore be free at the end of this season.
Sadick should extend his contract
Dimitri de Condé will, however, do everything to retain these two players. Negotiations have even already started with the Spanish defender for a contract extension. And according to information from Het Belang van Limburg, the two parties are close to reaching an agreement.
Sadick, whose value is estimated at 5 million euros by Transfermarkt, should therefore not leave Genk for free. However, it is possible that he will leave the Limburg club next summer for a few million euros.
A captain
Sadick joined Genk in July 2021 from Deportivo La Cologne for the sum of 1.7 million euros. Since then, the 24-year-old defender has played no less than 90 matches (3 goals) in the Racing jersey.
