Last weekend, the Spartak Fontgrande club hosted the first leg of the 2024-2025 Rino Della Negra trophy. A futsal tournament which aims to restore the popular aspect of the sport while paying homage to the famous resistance fighter FTP-MOI whose name it bears.

This season, three new teams are joining the tournament: Asteras , BLS 31 and du Peuple Montpellier. “The name of the trophy, the values ​​that we defend and the self-referee game will delight lovers of popular sport beyond the Carmausin Basin,” said Nicolas Mielko, president of Spartak.

The five teams met at the Fontgrande school cinema for a debate on the theme of playing popular sport. A text sent by sports journalist Nicolas Kssis Martov (So foot) was read in the introduction. The participants presented their associations and exchanged their visions of popular sport. Sportingly the “miners, led by Fabrice Devisi and led by their captain Sébastien Paulet won two matches out of four with two great victories 7-1 against BLS and Foot du Peuple. Let us mention the great performances of the goalkeeper, Sébastien Calla, as well as from striker Siak Sogodogo.

The team moves to the top of the provisional ranking with 3 victories in 4 matches. Fontgrande grabs 2nd place before the perilous trip to Arles next May.
