Considered Belgium’s best player since the start of Euro 2024, Amadou Onana impresses all European football followers. So much so that he is now on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar for this summer transfer window.

Still looking for a versatile midfielder capable of integrating alongside Vitinha and Zaire-Emery, PSG’s two main midfielders, the club from the French capital is multiplying its leads across Europe. And it is towards a former Lille player that Paris could well turn to strengthen its midfield during this summer transfer window. Indeed, according to information from Foot Mercato, PSG is very interested in Amadou Onana. In order to compensate for the possible departure of Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United, Paris has therefore checked the name of the Belgian international.

Amadou Onana, replacement for Ugarte at PSG?

Author of a nice start to the Euro, with two impressive matches against Romania and Ukraine, during which he put in enormous physical work in the middle, the former Lille player could hurt France in the round of 16. An opportunity that Onana will seek to seize to shine and show his best face in front of the leaders of PSG. Tracked by Barça and MU in recent months, the 22-year-old could well be tempted by the Parisian project.

Everton ask 50-60 ME for Onana

Transferred from LOSC to Everton for 35 million euros in 2022, the versatile midfielder is today estimated between 50 and 60 ME, especially since the Toffees must sell to replenish the coffers. A rather reasonable price for an experienced player, who has already played around a hundred matches among the pros, and in particular in the best championship in the world, the Premier League. If the Onana file is therefore activated on the Parc des Princes side, Luis Campos does not bury the Joao Neves track any less. Much more expensive, knowing that Benfica is demanding 100 ME to let go of its 19-year-old midfielder, this priority track could therefore quickly be replaced by that of the Belgian, especially if the latter continues to shine at Euro 2024.
