The Eagles of Medina experienced a painful journey to say the least during their first participation in the CAF Women’s Champions League, eliminated in the group stage after three defeats in as many outings. But this will certainly not detract from the magnificent season that viready to pass the Medinese.

More than for the brilliant qualification for the C1 via the zonal qualifying tournament, it is the performances on the national scene which left their mark during the 2023-2024 campaign. After more than 15 years of scarcity, they won the Senegalese women’s D1, before conclude a superb season with the Senegal Ladies Cup.
This could therefore hardly go unnoticed, particularly in the eyes of observers of women’s Football at the level of the African Football Confederation. This Wednesday, CAF actually revealed the names of the eight women’s clubs nominated for the best club trophy.e year at the CAF Awards 2024 (Morocco, December 16). And the Eagles are present, alongside teams like AS FAR and Mamelodi Sundowns.
