The RWDM has experienced some suspenseful matches in recent weeks. John Textor, but also Yannick Ferrera were sanctioned for losing their cool
At the beginning of October, the RWDM experienced a complicated encounter against the RAAL. The Louvièrois won the sharing point at the Stade Machtens and could even have claimed more.
John Textor was present that day and had very little appreciation of the refereeing decisions. At the end of the match, the American insulted a linesman as he left the field, reports Belga.
More pressure with three teams in the lead
The Molenbeek owner tried to plead his case with the Disciplinary Committee, arguing that he wanted to ask the linesman a question and, after the latter’s refusal, got angry but not in his direction.
A vain defense since the RWDM was fined 2,500 euros for its boss’s angry outburst. And that’s not all: Yannick Ferrera was also sanctioned.
The coach was guilty of an inappropriate comment during the defeat at RFC Liège. The Committee imposed a two-game suspended suspension on him.
