“The EAG wishes Jérémie a magnificent Vendée Globe. » On social networks, the En Avant Guingamp club sent a message of encouragement to navigator Jérémie Beyou, before the start of the Vendée Globe. The skipper of Charal 2, who finished on the podium (third) in the 2022 Route du Rhum, is a long-time supporter of En Avant.
From the first membership campaign in 2017, he became one of 15,206 Kalons for life (there are 16,465 today). And, like his peers, he has his plaque hanging on the Kalon Wall at the Roudourou stadium. Just like Valérie Damidot, Didier Roustan, Estelle Denis or Laurent Nicollin, the president of the Montpellier club.
“He really follows the club”
“He loves football, he really follows the club. He has already had the opportunity to kick off a match. He sympathized with Nicolas Benezet, whose jersey he had worn on board his boat,” recalls Christophe Gautier, the communications director of the EAG. Originally from North Finistère, Jérémie Beyou is the brother of Vincent, a car dealer (Volkswagen-Audi), based in Saint-Agathon.
The Kalon of the EAG have, in fact, a perfect favorite to be the winner of the Vendée Globe 2024, which will arrive in Les Sables-d’Olonne after 70 or 80 days at sea. “I like sport so yes, I follow the performances of Jérémie Beyou, but I am also interested in Guirec Soudée. He is not Kalon but he is Trégorrois. I met him at the Victoires de la Bretagne and I found him very friendly,” says Arnaud Toudic, vice-president of the EAG Kalon Club.
