The DNCG has taken the decision to relegate FC Rouen to National 2. This should precipitate the departure of the Turkish buyer Sarkan Ser.

The Federal Club Control Commission (CFCC) decided to demote FC Rouen 1899 to National 2. Staying its decision after its hearing on June 11, the Norman club therefore failed to convince the DNCG. The Turkish buyer Sarkan Ser had deposited 2.2 million euros in an escrow account, but not in the company’s account. Which is generally prohibitive for the financial policeman of amateur football.

The capital increase desired by Black Eagle Sport France – a company created on June 18 – had therefore not yet taken place. The CFCC had also requested an additional blocked sum of 1.5 million euros. Despite a drastic drop in the forecast budget – almost a million euros – the federal commission decided to downgrade FC Rouen 1899 to National 2. The buyers planned to communicate at the end of the afternoon but it is hardly of doubts that they should remove from the project.

The Seine-Maritime club finds itself at a standstill. With an SAS that has nearly two million euros of debts. According to Paris-Normandie, several creditors have already requested the placement in receivership of SAS FC Rouen 1899. If a bankruptcy filing is considered, it will be a return to the regional level for a historic club that had a very good season in National despite its financial problems. According to our information, the club may not appeal this decision to relegate to National 2.
