Cercle de Bruges is rubbing its hands: Kevin Denkey has finally completed his transfer. The Togolese international will move to FC Cincinnati in MLS. Details of the deal were also leaked.
Despite a great 2023-2024 season, Kevin Denkey remained at Cercle de Bruges this summer. Last season’s top scorer in the Pro League was hoping to get a nice transfer, but it will finally arrive in January.
An agreement has already been reached. Denkey will sign with FC Cincinnati, in Major League Soccer. Cercle de Bruges will also smash their record for an outgoing transfer: almost 17 million euros.
Not only is Cercle’s transfer record broken, but also that of MLS. He will become the most expensive player in the history of the championship. La Cercle negotiated 10% on the possible resale.
Meanwhile, additional details have leaked about the deal. According to the transfer expert Sacha TavolieriDenkey signed a five-year contract with Cincinnati.
Additionally, he will earn $3 million per year. Denkey will remain available for Cercle de Bruges until January.
