An AS Monaco player attacked by four individuals in Essonne

An evening that turns into drama. On the night of November 16 to 17, 2024, AS Monaco striker Georges Ilenikhena and one of his friends were attacked in the Tarterêts district, in Corbeil-Essonnes, learned news Essonne from a police source, confirming information from the Parisian.

The perpetrators still at large

The events took place around 1:40 a.m., rue Gustave Eiffel. Aged 18, the football player was having a drink in his car with one of his friends when they were attacked by a group of 4 individuals. Hooded and equipped with handgunthe latter ordered George Ilenikhena to give them the keys to his Volkswagen Golf, his cell phone and his pair of luxury shoes.

The AS Monaco striker then complied under threat. The group then tried to escape in the victims’ vehicle, but the stolen car was damaged in the process. The individuals therefore fled on foot.

The day after the attack, George Ilenikhena was filed a complaint. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the DCT91 (territorial crime division). According to The Parisianthe perpetrators were still on the run this Monday.
