Jacob Mathieu completed a hat trick in an empty net on Sunday, helping the Rimouski Océanic win 5-2 against the Victoriaville Tigres.
Mathieu now has 16 goals this season for the Océanic, who won a fifth game in a row.
Author of the first goal and accomplice of the last goal, Mathieu Cataford reached a total of 36 points, a record in the QMJHL. The Golden Knights prospect scored his 10th goal this season.
Rimouski has dominated the opponent 24-14 for five matches. Quinn Kennedy also scored for the Océanic.
The club will play again on Wednesday evening at home, against the Armada.
