Bradley Barcola played his first Euro 2024 match with France on Tuesday against Poland (1-1). Happy with his first start, the winger regretted the collective performance and the result of the Blues.

After having experienced his first two caps against Canada and Luxembourg during preparation, Bradley Barcola played his first minutes with the Blues in official competition. Starting against Poland for the last match of Group D, the PSG winger failed to offer victory to France (1-1) despite good activity.

“It’s true that it’s disappointing, but I’m still happy for my first,” said Bradley Barcola at the microphone of https://twitter.com/beinsports_FR/status/1805668280851403261. “It’s true that I think we could still have done better in front of goal. We still managed the match a little but we were fooled by not scoring the second.”

“I felt good”

After two matches of polishing the bench, Bradley Barcola showed good things for his first start at the Euro. Moving in his lane, he delivered several nice passes for his partners including a nice opening for Kylian Mbappé before half-time.

Finally replaced by Olivier Giroud on the hour mark, a few moments after Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring, the Parisian witnessed Robert Lewandowski’s equalizer from the sidelines. Not enough to take the smile off his face after this first in the starting lineup for the Blues.

“But I felt good. I learned of my start yesterday (Monday) evening, it took me a while to sleep. But I approached this match like all the others,” said Bradley Barcola after the draw against Poland. “It’s already good what we do with Ousmane (Dembélé) on the sides, but we have to add something more collective.”
