La Gantoise has successfully completed one of the transfers of this first part of the season with Max Dean, who is making his mark in our football. Enough to inspire Bruges, which also has English talent in its sights.
According to information from the English media HITC, Club Brugge is one of the – many – clubs interested in the attacking midfielder Josh Duffus (19 years old), who plays with the Brighton & Hove Albion U21 team.
Duffus has impressive statistics in the reserve team (11 goals in 38 games, 5 goals in 8 games this season), but also received his chance in the A team under Roberto De Zerbi last season, playing two minutes in the Europa League against ‘AEK Athens.
It is therefore no coincidence that Olympique de Marseille, a club coached by De Zerbi, is also one of the contenders for Josh Duffus, who is coming to the end of his contract at Brighton next June. RB Leipzig and FC Valencia would also be in the mix.
If Club Brugge wants to convince Duffus, they will have to strike hard, because several English clubs are also keeping an eye on the creative world of the Seagulls. Josh Duffus is in fact an English U19 international (5 caps) and therefore very popular at home.
