The OM training center is in full swing. After the recorded departure of Marco Otero et Yann Danielouother changes are expected in Marseille.
Foot OM: A wave of departures is looming internally
Olympique de Marseille continues to shake up its organizational chart. After several changes during the last summer transfer window, it is the turn of the training center to be affected. Marco Otero, technical director in charge of training, has been laid off and the formalization of his departure is only a matter of time.
The methods of the Spaniard, who arrived in July 2022, would not have been unanimous internally. Despite discussions to entrust him with new missions, OM management ultimately opted for a radical change. Lassad Hasni should take his place in this position. But the departures don't stop there. Yann Daniélou, director of the training center and who arrived at the same time as Marco Otero, should also leave the Marseille club.
Provence goes further, explaining other departures should follow at Olympique de Marseille, particularly among technicians and scouts. This wave of departures demonstrates a desire by OM president Pablo Longoria to overhaul the training center. The reasons for these changes are multiple: questioning of methods, search for a new dynamic, desire to strengthen internal cohesion, etc.
It remains to be seen what the consequences of these departures will be on the operation of the OM football center and on the training of the Minots. The coming months will be decisive in assessing the impact of these changes.
