The rise in popularity of Jake Paul’s fights is catching the eye of the world’s greatest boxers and his victory on Friday night against legend Mike Tyson has visibly piqued the pride of some of the best pugilists.
Lightweight champion Gervonta Davis made posts on Instagram after Paul’s victory on Friday, including calling him a “clown” and now Artur Beterbiev is ready to challenge Paul.
In an Instagram post, Beterbiev said he was ready to face Paul to give him a real challenge.
“@jakepaul, what can you do in a ring with the current undisputed champion? Please know that I am always open to all suggestions,” Beterbiev simply wrote.
The 39-year-old Beterbiev holds all the light heavyweight titles after defeating Dmitri Bivol by majority decision last month.
Beterbiev is perfect in 21 fights and his victory against Bivol was the first of his borderline career.
With his victory against Tyson, Paul has an 11-1-0 record as a professional boxer, including seven knockout victories. He notably got the better of former UFC fighters like Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva and Ben Askren.
His only loss came against Tommy Fury, the brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
