African Rugby Cup qualifiers in Casablanca

The first round of the African League Cup qualifiers (group B) will take place from November 18 to 24, 2024, at the Mohamed Benjelloun complex in Casablanca.

Taking part in these Group B qualifiers are the national teams of Madagascar, Botswana, Cameroon and Morocco (organizing country).

The Group A qualifiers will take place in Tunisia with the participation of teams from the host country, Nigeria, Ghana and Zambia.

The winners of the two groups will meet in a play-off match, in order to reserve a place in Group A for the final phase of the 2025 Africa Cup, which will be held in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, a decisive stage for qualification for the next Rugby League World Cup.

In preparation for this deadline, the Moroccan national rugby team will carry out a concentration behind closed doors in Benslimane.

These qualifiers are organized by the Royal Moroccan Rugby Federation (FRMR), under the aegis of the African Rugby Confederation (Rugby Africa), and in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and the Council of the city of Casablanca, in commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the Glorious Green March and the 69th anniversary of Independence Day.
