After Yamal and Lewandowski, another attacker injured and absent for a month

In the middle of the international break, FC Barcelona announced the injury of Ansu Fati, who will miss almost a month of competition.

While Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski had to withdraw from this November gathering with their respective selections, another FC Barcelona striker – not called up by his country – also suffered an injury. In an official press release published this Wednesday, the Blaugrana club announces that Ansu Fati suffers from a muscular injury to the biceps femoris of his right thigh. Barça is talking about a rest period of around four weeks for the Spanish winger.

Fati therefore gives up on the reception of Stade Brestois in the Champions League at the end of November (the 26th). His return could take place for the clash against Atlético de Madrid on December 22, just before the winter break.

This is not the first time this season that Ansu Fati will be away from the field. The Barcelona number 10 had already been injured in the right foot during pre-season, an injury which deprived him of the friendly tour to the United States this summer.

Coming into play without convincing against Real Sociedad last Sunday (1-0), the 22-year-old player is experiencing a new setback in his career and his progress.
