Still looking for a challenge in Ligue 1, Habib Beye would be in the good books of the Nantes leaders.
Habib Beye, still without a contract in November 2024, could finally find a new challenge in Ligue 1, after having been cited several times for prestigious positions such as that of Stade Rennais. Former defender of Olympique de Marseille, the ambitious 47-year-old Senegalese left Red Star this summer, a club he had helped to reach Ligue 2, but found himself without a team to manage. He had also expressed his wish to take the reins of OM during the summer, but management logically preferred Roberto De Zerbi. More recently, he was cited among the candidates to succeed Bruno Genesio at Rennes, but the position was ultimately awarded to Jorge Sampaoli.
The tide could finally turn for Habib Beye. According to Live FootFC Nantes, currently in difficulty in Ligue 1, would now be interested in his services. The Canaries, 14th in the championship, could part ways with Antoine Kombouaré after a poor performance against Le Havre at the restart. Nantes management would then turn to Beye, a consultant appreciated by Canal+ and with strong ambition. A position which could well constitute the long-awaited exit door for the ex-Red Star coach, once again awaiting a new opportunity.
