Accused of violence against his wife at the beginning of October, Taleta Tupuola was sentenced to 14 months in prison by the Béziers criminal court. The ASBH center had been laid off by his club. In court, the 35-year-old admitted the facts.
This Wednesday the courts ruled condemning Taleta Tupuola for domestic violence. Facts dating back to the beginning of October and which resulted in his wife being totally unable to work for six days. The prosecutor therefore requested an 18-month suspended prison sentence before the Béziers criminal court. The New Zealander was ultimately sentenced to 14 months in prison. Before the courts, the player admitted the facts. His lawyer, for his part, assured that they would not appeal.

As a reminder, the club had taken the decision to sanction the former Montalban player before his trial. Taleta Tupuola was suspended pending trial. His last match under the colors of ASBH dates back to October 18, 2024 (defeat against Grenoble 22-25). For the moment, the club has not yet communicated. A conviction which comes just a few days after the sale of ASBH was made official.
For his part, Hans Nkinsi will be heard in court on December 16. Until then, he is under judicial control. The second line is also accused of domestic violence. His partner had filed a complaint at the Béziers police station on October 24.
