Joaquin Seys was unable to honor his first selection with the Devils. But he won’t be away for too long.
Two days later after learning of his selection, Joaquin Seys was injured at the worst time with Club Brugge. While he had played through the matches without the slightest problem, the young full-back was hit in the shin.
The word is even weak given the way in which he had to be evacuated: Seys could no longer support himself on his right leg and had to be carried to the locker room by Maxim De Cuyper and doctor Bruno Vanhecke.
More fear than harm
Impressive images which left us fearing the worst. But the first news is reassuring: according to Het Nieuwsblad, the scan revealed no fracture.
The young Bruges resident could therefore resume training in the coming days with the Club. A relief for the one who no longer left the basic eleven after having integrated it to the general surprise at the start of the season.
But this slight setback still deprives him of this first selection for the Devils. However, he would have had a card to play given the defensive problems encountered on the right flank.
