African champion with Morocco during CAN 2023 and having played 11 international matches in the colors of Morocco, Couhaib Driouech, PSV striker is not authorized to wear the jersey of the Dutch selection immediately.

“Couhaib Driouech will not play for the Dutch Juniors during this international match (against Slovakia in a friendly, editor’s note). The PSV striker, called up for the first time by Michael Reiziger, is not eligible,” explains the Dutch Federation in a press release published on its official website.

And the Dutch football body clarified: “Driouech has played matches for the Moroccan under-23 team, which means that a formal transfer procedure is necessary for him to play for a representative team of the The Netherlands”.

As a reminder, the 22-year-old left winger joined PSV Eindhoven last July, during the summer transfer window, from SBV Excelsior Rotterdam, for a period of five years.
