It’s heavy in the CH locker room at the moment

The Canadian has lost his last six matches.

But it goes even further than that.

The Canadian has lost his last six games because there is no player (with a few exceptions) who puts in the effort to win. And there, things are starting to get heavy in the CH locker room.

At least that’s what David Savard said after yesterday’s defeat at the hands of the Toronto Leafs.

Josh Anderson may say that the guys are trying to stay positive… But when we hear Savard, we realize that there is something that is not right at the moment.

The following sentence, which we find in particular in an article by Jonathan Bernier, makes perfect sense:

It’s getting heavy. It’s extremely frustrating. We can’t get out of our torpor, we have trouble generating scoring chances.

It’s frustrating. –David Savard

He didn’t beat around the bush to tell the truth…

When veterans are willing to admit things are going wrong, it’s because there’s a reason.

They are the ones who have the job of standing up in difficult times as is the case right now and they are the ones who must lead by example.

On the other hand, it’s fine to say that the atmosphere is heavy in the room… But if the players are not ready to play the right way, the bad results will continue to pile up one on top of the other .

And that seems to be the problem lately.

That said, I like to see David Savard send a message to his teammates because he knows he is one of those who has an important voice in the locker room.

He does his job to try to wake up his troops.

Now, this message must be heard by everyone… And the players must understand that victories will come if all the guys are on the same page.

In burst

– Ouain…

– Reminder: only three games will be played this evening in the NHL.

Yikes.

– I like it.
