Noah Fadiga gave everyone a huge scare this Sunday at the Planet Group Arena. While a Standard player was being treated on the pitch, Ghent coach Wouter Vrancken took the time to give instructions to his troops.
But suddenly, Fadiga collapsed. Emergency services were called urgently, but things did not progress quickly. This is why a Standard player took the stretcher from a rescuer to sprint towards Fadiga.
Due to his father’s history, and his own, with heart problems, people immediately feared the worst. However, he was quickly able to get up. At that point, football is of course of little importance.
In the meantime, La Gantoise has already given a reassuring update. “Reassuring news regarding Noah Fadiga. He lost consciousness during an interruption in play, probably following a collision a few minutes earlier,” the club said.
