The Namibian international fly-half, André Van Der Berg has signed up with USA Limoges Rugby for next season. Despite its relegation to Federal 1, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine club seems to have retained its attractiveness.

This is called an improbable transfer. André Van Der Berg started with Namibia against the French XV during the last World Cup and will play next season for Limoges in Federal 1. The club which notably saw Jean-Jacques Taofifenua (2005-2009) pass through announced this international recruitment this Saturday on its Facebook account.

Capable of playing at midfield as well as at the back, the 26-year-old Namibian (1m80; 92kg) will bring all his international experience to Jean Ric-Lombard’s men who will take charge of next season’s staff.

Noa Nakaitaci extends

This newcomer comes in addition to the numerous recruits already made official by the club: Corentin Schmitt (third row; 28 years old), Saba Kaulashvili (pillar; 25 years old), Rafaël Imatte (pillar; 23 years old) and Axel Vanneste (third row; 25 years). The other big announcement from USA Limoges Rugby is the extension of French international winger Noa Nakaitaci (15 caps) for the next two seasons. The former World Cup joker from RC Toulon, who notably passed through Lyon and Clermont, arrived last December in New Aquitaine.
