Winnipeg Jets set NHL record with 14-1 record

Like every Saturday, we were treated to a busy day in the National Hockey League.

24 teams were in action across 12 matches, which obviously generated several highlights.

Here’s what to remember from this hockey Saturday.

1. Winnipeg Jets set NHL record with 14 wins in first 15 games

If there is one team in the NHL whose fans have only positive things to remember from their team’s performance, it is the Winnipeg Jets.

The Jets have been simply unstoppable since the start of the season, and they are truly establishing themselves as the greatest force in the entire NHL right now.

With another victory yesterday, this time by a score of 4-1 against the Dallas Stars, the Jets are now 14-1-0, which represents an all-time NHL record after the first 15 matches.

It’s a remarkable start to the season for the Jets, while everything is swimming in oil for the Manitoba team.

They also have the best numerical advantage which stands at 41.9%.

In short, the Jets are really impressive, which makes their fans very confident and drooling, while yesterday, they took the time to taunt Jake Oettinger, the goalie of the Dallas Stars, by telling him that he would be the backup goalie to Connor Hellebuyck at the Four Nations Tournament.

2. Alex Ovechkin has already reached the 10-goal mark this season

The number 8 of the Washington Capitals is having an excellent streak to start the season.

Moreover, last night, he already reached the plateau of 10 goals this season after only 14 games, which is impressive for the 39-year-old striker.

He scored two goals in an 8-1 thaw for the Caps against the St. Louis Blues, which now gives him 10 goals and 18 points in 14 games.

Ovi can say thanks to Dylan Strome, who has an assist on each of the Caps number 8’s 10 goals so far this season.

3. Masterful save from Jordan Binnington

4. Four goals in less than five minutes for the Oilers

It’s been quite difficult this season for the Edmonton Oilers, who are struggling to maintain a .500 record.

At least yesterday they had a good outing against a good team, as they won 7-3 against the Vancouver Canucks.

The Oilers ran away with the victory thanks to four goals in less than five minutes in the third period, which completely sunk the Canucks.

This victory allows the Oilers to move up in the playoff table to 8th and last place giving access to the spring tournament.

5. Anthony Richard scores his first with the Flyers

While Matvei Michkov was left out for a second game in a row by John Tortorella, it was Anthony Richard who was able to take advantage, as the former Montreal Canadiens scored his first goal with the Philadelphia Flyers last night .

Richard has been inserted into the lineup for the last two games at the expense of Michkov, and let’s just say he’s doing well to make his mark and maintain his spot in the lineup.
