Kylian Mbappé destroyed after his average performance against Osasuna

On Saturday afternoon, Real Madrid got back on track with a 4-0 victory over Osasuna. The Madrilenians, however, lost Eder Militao for several months. Vinicius scored a hat-trick but Kylian Mbappé remained silent. A fourth game in a row without scoring for the Frenchman, and a rather average contribution to the game.

After the match, Carlo Ancelotti gave his support: “Mbappé made a lot of good moves. It’s only a matter of time before he scores again.” But from the Spanish media, the Frenchman has (once again) come under harsh criticism.

“Three goals from Vinicius, none from Mbappé”, headlines AS in an opinion article. “The Brazilian not only has four more goals than Mbappé, but he is twice as effective in front of goal, he dribbles more and even recovers more balls,” specifies the media in another article, which adds that “the “the contribution of 7 outclasses that of 9 in all areas of the game.”

For its part, Marca headlines: “Mbappé is going through an unprecedented crisis”. Before adding more precisely: “Mbappé is drowning as number 9, while Vinicius is having fun on the left side. There is no doubt, he is the leader of the team. Not Mbappé.” The media also highlights the fact that at the final whistle, the former PSG striker went directly to the locker room, a sign of a certain frustration and great dissatisfaction with his performances.
