The Atlas Lions now know their full program for the Futsal World Cup. They will play their first matches in the Uzbek capital Tashkent.
FIFA has unveiled the full program for the Futsal World Cup, expected from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan. The Atlas Lions, placed in Pool E with Portugal, Panama and Tajikistan, know what awaits them.
All their group stage matches will be held at the Humo Arena in Tashkent (the capital of the Central Asian country).
They will first face Tajikistan on Monday September 16 at 8 p.m. (4 p.m. Moroccan time), before playing Panama on Thursday September 19 at 5:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. Moroccan time), then Portugal on Sunday September 22 at 5:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. Moroccan time).
If they finish first in their group, they will face the 2nd in Group D (Spain, Kazakhstan, New Zealand and Libya), on Thursday September 26 at 8 p.m. (4 p.m. Moroccan time) in Andijan, in the round of 16.
If they finish second, they will play first in Group F (Iran, Venezuela, Guatemala and France), on Thursday September 26 at 5:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. Moroccan time) in Bukhara.
If they finish third, they will either face the 1st of group A (Uzbekistan, Netherlands, Paraguay and Costa Rica), on Wednesday September 25 at 8 p.m. (4:00 p.m. Moroccan time) in Tashkent, or the leader of group D, Wednesday, September 25 at 5:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. Moroccan time) in Andijan.
The quarter-finals will be held on Sunday September 29 and Monday September 30, in Tashkent and Bukhara, while the semi-finals are expected for Wednesday October 2 and Thursday October 3, Tashkent.
This same city will host the classification match, or third place match, on Sunday October 6, then the final, the same day.
