Live from the Munich Football Arena, Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu commented, from 8:41 p.m., on the opening ceremony of the competition under the wide-eyed eyes of 4 .60 million viewers according to Médiamétrie, or 23.4% of the public and 31.5% of women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50).
Twenty minutes later, Germany/Scotland, won 5 goals to 1 by the host country against the Scots reduced to ten, thrilled 5.09 million of viewers until 10:55 p.m. (27.1% of the public and 37.5% FRDA-50). For comparison, Turkey/Italy, the opening match of Euro 2020, attracted 5.13 million viewers on Friday June 11, 2021 (23.5% of the public and 25.4% of the FRDA-50). At the same time, the premiere of “Mag de l’Euro”, presented by Denis Brogniart, brought together 1.48 million viewers between 11:04 p.m. and 11:34 p.m., or 14.3% of the public and 21.4% of the FRDA-50.
Over the course of the day, TF1 is close to 20 PDA points (19.7%). France 2 (14.3%) is at a low level for a Friday. Both under the 8 points of PDA, M6 (7.7%) and France 3 (7.4%) suffer. France 5 (3.7%) is undoubtedly the best of the others. Tied with Arte (2.7%), C8 is already suffering from the absence of Cyril Hanouna in access. TMC (2.6%), W9 (2.5%) and TF1 Séries Films (2.2%) complete the top 10.

“Criminal Tropics” resists rebroadcast on France 2, nightmare evening for France 3
France 2 takes second position with a rebroadcast episode of “Tropiques critiques”. The series, led by Sonia Rolland and Béatrice de la Boulaye, was reviewed by 3.01 million of viewers between 9:12 p.m. and 10:55 p.m., which represents 16.7% of the public and 3.9% FRDA-50s. Last Friday, the finale of season 8 was acclaimed by 3.61 million viewers (20.4% of the entire public aged four and over and 5.8% of the FRDA-50.
M6 follows with “Happy Retirement 2” (2022). This comedy by Fabrice Bracq, with Michèle Laroque, Thierry Lhermitte and Constance Labbé, was a hit 2.07 million of viewers between 9:14 p.m. and 10:52 p.m., i.e. 11.1% public. On the FRDA-50 target, the market share reached 15.3%. Last Friday, the first part of the franchise launched the weekend with 2.12 million viewers (12.7% of the entire public and 14.2% of the FRDA-50).
France 3 follows with “The oriental song festival”. The entertainment, presented from Marrakech by André Manoukian and Laury Thilleman, set the mood 1.02 million of viewers between 9:09 p.m. and 11:16 p.m., i.e. 5.8% ages four and over and 1.6% FRDA-50s. On Friday December 22, 2023, “La fête de la chanson française” had, for comparison, entertained 1.45 million viewers (8.0% of the public and 1.9% of the FRDA-50).

The musical evenings of France 5 and TMC very weak

Much further down the ranking, “Fauteuils d’orchestral”, presented by Anne Sinclair, convinced 331,000 viewers between 9:06 p.m. and 11:02 p.m. on France 5 (1.8% of the public and 0.7% FRDA-50). They were, at the same time, barely 232,000 viewers to dance in front of Mika’s “Le concert event” at the Accor Hotel Arena between 9:27 p.m. and 11:17 p.m. on TMC, i.e. 1.4% of the public and 2.7% FRDA-50s.
