The Swiss women’s team suffered its third defeat in three matches on Saturday in the Swedish stage of the Euro Hockey Tour. Coach Colin Muller’s players were beaten 3-0 in Södertälje by the Czech Republic, who won this tournament.
The Swiss are therefore still looking for a first success in the brand new women’s Euro Hockey Tour. In Kloten at the end of August, they only lost on penalties against the Czechs. To the absence of Alina Müller, not sufficiently recovered after hip surgery, was added that of Lara Stalder, victim of a concussion in training before this tournament.
Deprived of its two best assets, Switzerland, as one might fear, lacked impact on the offensive level. Already beaten 3-0 by Finland, they only scored one goal in this tournament, against Sweden on the 2nd day (2-1).
