This weekend marked the start of the 1st federal round of the Coupe de France Féminine and the entry of Second League clubs into the competition.
Our neo-Aquitaine clubs have sometimes created surprises, like theASJ Soyaux-Charente. The R1 Féminine team managed to defeat Montauban FC TG (D3 Féminine) at the end of the penalty shootout (1-1, 3 tab 4).
The second neo-Aquitaine club qualified for the 2nd federal round is Limoges Women’s Football (R1 F) who wins against another R1 F team.
The girls of theABFC- Aviron Bayonnais Football Clubwho play in R2 F came very close to the feat but finally gave in (0-0, 4 tab 5) against Rodez (Second League).
It’s also over for the FC Gradignan: Women’s Section, FC Girondins de Bordeaux Women and theES Poitiers Trois Cités Women who will still have had a good journey.
Now for the 2nd federal round scheduled for the weekend of December 15 for our two teams still in the running!
