Cercle de Bruges shared (0-0) at LASK Linz. The Groen en Zwart were very united in the second half.

Cercle de Bruges had things to make up for after the defeat conceded by the B team in Iceland two weeks ago. Today on the move LASK Linzthird in the Austrian championship last season, the team was much more concerned.

After a first quarter of an hour taken in hand by the locals, the Cercle grew in their encounter and finished the first half strong. But when Miron Muslic’s troops were at their best in the match, Kevin Denkey was sent off for a second relatively harsh yellow card.

The Austrians tried everything

Outnumbered for more than 45 minutes, the Bruges residents had to stick together. LASK logically regained the initiative in the second period, with 78% possession of the ball and 11 shots attempted (only one for the visitors).

Despite some hot situations, the Circle held on until the end to snatch the 0-0. The Groen en Zwart are fifteenth in the Conference League, having the best goal average among the teams with four points. The Belgian clubs therefore end this week undefeated.
