This is enough to gain confidence before the tour of Martinique in round skiffs. Sara Énergies Nouvelles/Autodistribution achieves the third pass for this season. The Marin crew won the Paddle of the Mapipi, the Grand Prix du 22 Mai and the Martinique Yoles Rondes championship.
Rémy Diany’s crew is in good shape. The boss of the Marin skiff has something to brag about, even if he is naturally humble in the face of victory.
Today (Sunday June 9), on the La Trinité race course, as part of the city’s Grand Prix, the Marinois crew managed their race for the final victory in the championship.
This morning, they took to the sea, taking the necessary precautions not to make any mistakes, just enough to ensure their place as leader of the championship. A management crowned with a victory in the first round.
It was in the second round that things were a little more difficult. The Marinois crew had to face greater adversity from the Cottrell/Leader Mat and Ufr/Chanflor skiffs. The two adversaries sought to put the Marin skiff in difficulty, forcing the latter to play it safe.
It was ultimately Ufr/Chanflor which won its first victory of the season. Cottrell/Leader Mat finished second in both heats and won the Trinity City Prize today. Sara Énergies Nouvelles/Autodistribution wins the championship.
