Goulwenn Tristant, aka “Monsieur Performance”, once again delivered an exceptional performance. This volunteer firefighter in () won the 2024 edition of the Castelnuovo del Garda ultra-triathlon (Italy). A maso race over 6,780 km: 114 km swimming, 5,400 km cycling and 1,266 km walking.

30 hours late after swimming

The forty-year-old took 862 hours to complete this endless journey. Departing on September 1st, he arrived on October 7th. There were only 15 at the start and Goulwenn Tristant was in last position after the swim, his “weak” point. “I swim very badly. […] I came out of the water thirty hours late than the first one,” he told 78 Actu. But he launched a terrible bike ride to take the lead and never let go. He finally crossed the finish line 25 hours ahead of his first pursuer.

“Every day, it’s a fight with yourself,” admits this father of two who has completed 191 Ironmans and hopes to achieve many more feats at 43.
