Among the twelve interns of the day, Camille. This is not the first time he has met the champion. Eleven years ago, Guillaune Néry came to present his film Narcose in his class, at the Gauguin high school in Tahiti. “Guillaume has been a role model for me since I met him in high school, I really like the fact that he combines performance and the artistic side in all his videos”said the young man. Tareparepa Teinauri intends to adopt these techniques to better enjoy the whales and the lagoon. “A little stress but more excitement, we will learn all the things that we do quite naturally, and therefore be able to explain them to be able to do things better”explains the young woman.

“The key word in apnea is relaxation, because the idea is to consume as little energy as possible. We take a deep breath at the surface and with the quantity of oxygen we carry, we must try to stay as long as possible, to be as comfortable as possible”, specifies the champion.

Today, no fins. The trainees are weighted to avoid any effort, slow down, seek absolute energy savings, while balancing the pressure in the ears. “Once you get back up, he corrects a few movements, and the most important thing really is relaxation”affirms
Tarapa Teinauri. “It’s great, to be able to go down the line with the different coaches and Guillaume who goes around the buoys, your idol next to you, it’s pretty awesome”adds Camille Février. “The new thing for most is understanding this idea of verticality. In diving, in a classic tank, you wander around, you descend gradually. There, there is really this thread that we follow, which can be confusing. ..in freediving, we learn to refocus on ourselves”explains Guillaume Néry.
