Three big shocks and big stakes: here is the program of the week in the Champions League

After a two-week truce which gave way to the National Cups, the Champions League resumes its rights. Real Madrid-AC Milan, Liverpool-Bayer Leverkusen and PSG-Atlético de Madrid will be the big posters for this fourth day of the league phase on Tuesday and Wednesday.

If PSV, with Johan Bakayoko, opens the ball against Girona at the same time as Dinamo Zagreb’s visit to Slovan Bratislava (6:45 p.m.), eyes will be riveted on Tuesday evening on Anfield (9:00 p.m.) with the reception of Bayer Leverkusen by Liverpool, co-leader of the ranking which has a record of nine out of nine, like Aston Villa, Club Bruges’ next opponent.

At the same time, AC Milan will travel to Thibaut Courtois’ Real Madrid and will try to confirm their form after the 3-1 victory against Bruges on the last day. Arthur Vermeeren, Maarten Vandevoordt and Loïs Openda will also be in action with Leipzig at Celtic while Thomas Meunier and face Juventus. While Kevin De Bruyne and Jérémy Doku have returned to the bench in the league, Manchester City will face Sporting Portugal on home soil.

On Wednesday, Bruges will be the first poster of the day with the visit of the English Aston Villa to the Jan Breydel stadium (6:45 p.m.). A good result would allow Nicky Hayen’s troops to relaunch themselves in the competition while the current record is one victory for two defeats. With two consecutive losses in C1, Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich will try to get back on the path to victory when Benfica comes. Inter-Arsenal, with Leandro Trossard, and PSG-Atlético de Madrid, with Axel Witsel, will act as the shock of the evening while Charles De Ketelaere and Atalanta travel to Stuttgart.

The matches broadcast on RTL Club and RTL Play: Real Madrid-AC Milan (Tuesday 8:10 p.m.) and Bruges-Aston Villa (6:05 p.m.).
