Mercosur, administrative burden, CAP: French farmers have a lot of trouble, and they intend to make it known. This Tuesday, November 26, many of them will take the road to Lille, aboard their tractors, to express their discontent. Follow the event live.

– 18 h 35. The farmers are preparing to leave Lille. According to our reporter on site, the secretary general of the FNSEA du Nord indicated that they were giving their interlocutors fifteen days/three weeks to act. Otherwise, the mobilization will resume.
– 18 h 00 : the delegation comes from the Cité Marianne. There is an ongoing debate regarding the declassification of watercourses into ditches. The administration agreed to review certain classifications. A decision that pleases some. But for others, more is needed. It is difficult at the moment to know whether the mobilization will continue this evening and night.
– 17 h 50 : The farmers are still in front of the Cité Marianne, in Lille. The atmosphere is a little more relaxed, with music and barbecue on the program.
– 15 h 16 : A delegation has just left the administrative city. She believes she did not have “concrete answers” to their demands of the morning. Discussions will resume.
– 14 h 50 : Tensions between demonstrators. The police were forced to intervene to calm the situation.
– 12 h 28 : Fires are lit in several places.
– 11 h 59 : The Northern road surveillance unit reports that all of the convoys have left the road and motorway sector in Lille towards the Marianne city. The traffic jams on the A1 motorway from Vendeville and on the RN356 from Mons-en-Barœul are being resolved.
– 11 h 47 : Pallets are dumped to “make a fire”. The police talk about “moving them back”.
– 11 h 26 : An impressive convoy arrives in Lille. Around fifty tractors are currently located at Cité Marianne.
– 11 h 07 : young farmers from Nord-Pas-de-Calais are also mobilized.
– 10 h 38 : The first tractors arrive at Cité Marianne, boulevard de Strasbourg.
– 10 h 18: the Northern road surveillance unit reports that assembly points are in progress on the A 23 motorway (Sars, Rosières and Orchies), on the RN41 (Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin) towards the A25 and at the municipal level of Bondues and Frelinghien. It is recommended to avoid these areas.
