Undefeated since the 2nd phase of the territorial championship, the senior girls team continues its epic journey.

Victorious over Figeac 30 to 22 in the round of 16, last weekend was intense for the Lauragais team supervised by Pascal Martinez with a tournament which included quarter and semi-finals in the Barrelles gymnasium.

The opponents of the day announced: Levezou Ségala handball, Handball of the two banks (Valence d’Agen and Saint-Jory).

The first act of the HBCV began against the Saint-Jory handball suburbanites. With a bench limited to just one substitute, while the visitors copiously filled the score sheet with 13 players, the HBCV managed to impose its rhythm and dictate its law by relying on its goalkeeper Marine Si Dehbi (15 saves) and the formidable left arm of full-back Zoé Mallet (12 goals). The quarter-final won by a score of 27 to 15, the Villefranchoises waited until the beginning of the evening to return to the floor to play the semi-final against the Aveyronnaises of Lévezou Ségala.

Despite legitimate fatigue, a mano a mano began and gave the buzzer a perfect tie 19 to 19.

We had to wait for the outcome of the series of shots at 7 meters to see the Lauragaises secure their qualification (22 to 20) for the grand final which will be played on Sunday June 16 at 5:15 p.m. within the Palais des Sports in Toulouse against Perpignan II.

The under-15 girls team (3rd division) will be traveling to the pink city to also play its final after having beaten Montarnaud and Colomiers in Clarensac (30).
