Beach : After Africa, Al Seyni aims for the roof of the world

The Senegalese beach goalkeeper, Al Seyni Ndiaye, answered questions from journalists after the continental title obtained a few days ago. The captain of the Lions of Teranga returned to the criticism after the publication of the list and the defeat of the first match, against Mauritania.

« We suffered a lot of criticism from supporters, coaches and presidents of Beach Soccer clubs. When we lost in the first match, some were even on the sets to add more. We followed everything but honestly we took things positively. Because the national team is a subject that affects the people, so everyone has their say”he suggested.

For the most successful player in the Senegalese beach soccer team, the most important thing is to work to win the world title. “All I want is to win a World Cup for Senegal. I sacrificed so much for the national beach soccer team. I wanted to stay in the den. So, I think I deserve encouragement to keep this going.”

Al Seyni Ndiaye will celebrate his 35th birthday next December and plans to participate in the World Cup which will take place in May 2025 in Seychelles. He was crowned best goalkeeper in the Beach Soccer CAN 7 times.
