Obviously, it’s too easy for Logan Mailloux in the American League. The young defender, recently demoted by the Montreal Canadiens, collected a goal and three assists in a 6-3 victory for the Laval Rocket over the Providence Bruins, Saturday afternoon at Place Bell.
Joshua Roy is not to be outdone: the striker scored a hat trick for his part, scoring his fifth, sixth and seventh goals of the season. For his second goal of the day, he left goalkeeper Brandon Bussi no chance with an excellent wrist shot in the upper part.
Coming back to Mailloux, he now has nine points in four games in the AHL with the Rocket, who signed a seventh consecutive victory and a second in two nights against Providence.
Goalie Connor Hughes was not as busy as the day before, but he went for another victory with the Laval team, stopping 27 pucks.
Pascal Vincent’s troupe will now benefit from a long leave. She will take charge again next Friday, during a two-game road series against the Belleville Senators.
