Biel has achieved a nice success in the National League. The Zealanders won in Geneva 1-0 in the last minute.
You shouldn’t be impatient to see goals at Vernets for the coming of Bienne. We even had to wait until the 60th minute to witness the only goal of the match and it came from the Zealand side from Yanick Stampfli’s stick. A success that fell 32 seconds from the end of the third period at an unforgivable moment for the Eagles.

Top scorer Teemu Hartikainen was a little too nonchalant when taking the puck out of the Geneva defense zone and Biel took advantage in a very good way. Stampfli shot from a relatively tight angle and Raanta was unable to prevent this shot from going in.
This success allows Bienne to remain in the top 6 with a 5-point weekend, while Geneva was unable to follow up after its precious success on Friday evening in Lugano.
Lausanne is recovering
Trailing 1-0 very quickly and after the slap they suffered the day before in Bern (7-2), the Lausanne residents did not immediately show their best face but they ended up winning 6-3. Fortunately, Rapperswil no longer seems to be the black beast that had caused so much harm to the Vaudois in the past.
It must be said that this year, Geoff Ward’s players are doing well on the numerical advantage with a success rate of 32%. Even if it is most likely untenable over a full season, the Vaudois power-play works extremely well. Confirmation against the Saint-Gallois with Oksanen’s equalizer in the 6th. And two minutes later, it was Kuokkanen who was able to give the Lions the advantage.

Hügli’s 3-1 in the 30th minute gave Malley’s residents some breathing room, just before Jäger’s 4-1 again in numerical superiority. Or when Swiss players take over from foreigners. The LHC got a little scared when Stroömwall made it 5-3 in the 48th minute, but Hügli was able to seal the score in the empty cage.
Fribourg: that’s all
It’s unclear whether Freiburg is Zurich’s bete noire, but the Dragons feel pretty good about facing the defending champion. The first meeting between the two teams in Friborg ended in a 2-0 success for Pat Emond’s men, this time they only lost 2-1 after penalties.
It was Raphael Diaz who opened the scoring in the 14th minute for his first goal of the season. Zurich had to wait until mid-match to equalize thanks to Vinzenz Rohrer. The young and talented Austrian striker deceived Berra’s vigilance by destroying the courtesy of the Friborg defense while Dean Kukan languished in the penalty box.
In a game dominated by defenses, Friborg offered a solid performance. And during the penalties, it was once again Rohrer who stood out by being the only one to find the fault to allow Zurich to maintain their invincibility at home.
Ajoie is better
Should Julien Vauclair really hand over his position as coach to Greg Ireland? Because since the Jura sports director joined the team, Ajoie is doing better. Ajoie offers more consistency and Ajoie even manages to beat Langnau 2-0 thanks to Arno Nussbaumer and a goal in Turkulainen’s empty cage. The Jurassiens signed their second victory in a row after dominating Rapperswil last Tuesday.
Kloten got the better of Lugano 5-2 and while the Ticino led 2-1. The Bianconeri have six defeats in their last seven matches. Is Luca Gianinazzi under threat? Davos, for its part, dominated Zug 3-2, while Berne picked up two points from Ambri thanks to a 3-2 victory after.
