These young people came from all over France and even Canada to train in Névez with football pros

This Saturday is the last day of a great week of on the fields of Névez (Finistère), for the 45 young people aged 9 to 16 registered for the Foot Breizh Academy course. The Foot Breizh Academy was created to provide young footballers with the opportunity to progress technically and mentally in their passion for football thanks to specialists who are on the ground to supervise them. It also offers them the opportunity to be seen by recruiters from renowned clubs during elite courses where they come to spot young talents.

A week of two daily training sessions at the Albert-Le-Dé stadium, or even three for those who benefit from a personalized session, alternating with beach soccer sessions on the Port Manech beach, futsal in the sports hall and various activities within the Miléade club where they are accommodated.

Mathieu came from Ottawa. I wanted to improve as a player, and I looked for an internship in Europe, where football is more developed than in Canada, with a very different style of training. explains the young boy, who came with a friend who plays in the same club as him. The coaches are strict, but when you do the exercises well, everything goes well! I also appreciated the accommodation, facing the sea!

Former Serbian goalkeeper Igor Pavlovic present as coach

During the week, the young people were trained by pros like the former Serbian goalkeeper Igor Pavlovic, or Anthony Rimasson, former coach of the women’s U17 and U20 in Morocco after having been technical director in Quebec. Enough to dream of those football lovers who hope to make a name for themselves on the pitch.

Like Alizée, 14, who regrets having been the only girl in this group of trainees, but still benefited from this training: I came for football, I improved certain points, the controls in particular; I see my future in football . Ilyes, 15, player at the Voltigeurs de Châteaubriant club, believes he felt great improvements in his game during this week, and gained confidence. Football is my whole life! he says with a big smile. Then the stars in his eyes go out: the older I get, the farther away the dream becomes .
